Well I've had a a fair few games with this box set already, everyone that's played has enjoyed it and I really like the models too. Great value and great game, worth every penny.
Having played the game a fair bit now it appears to me that the Covenant ships are more powerful than the UNSC ships as you'd expect from the fluff.
Highly recommended. I wish Spartan would announce the product timeline for future releases so we could get a taste for how the model range will develop, what named ships will be released etc.

Very nice box set!

Played this with a few friends over the weekend at the same time as unboxing - within half an hour we had popped out the base tiles and were able to play a game without models (wanted to spend a lot of time cleaning them up/painting them).
The game is quite simple once you get the basics down, after that it is just tactical planning and repeat repeat repeat!
My only mild annoyance is the tokens used for fighters/bombers/troop ships - artisitcally they are amazing, they are just a little too flimsy for me and hard to see how many are in a stack without knocking them over. Would be lovely to see something Firestorm-esque with the fighter tokens.
Having said that, nothing even close to stopping me from leaving the game alone (so much so that I am planning to order another 3 boxes!)
